His test forces him to confront his insecurities about Hajime head-on. When Hajime and Shizuku finally reach him, Kouki, consumed by the phantom, is overwhelmed with murderous intent and hatred, swinging his blade at Hajime. |

| I've spent the past three episodes in double speed. Welcome back to Ice Cave Namek. This time around, the fake hero dipshit Kouki somehow manages to get an entire episode about him. In a better series, these trials might have meant something, but unfortunately this is Arifureta, where the majority of characters are either waifus who exist solely for MC to collect, or incompetent fools who exist solely for MC to clown on and make himself look better. You can't treat characters like trash for an entire series, then turn around in the last act and say, "No, these trash characters are actually really interesting!" Kouki got his shit kicked in, dungeon boss next, it's almost over. |

| Beyond disappointed in Kouki’s showing today man holy shit that was cringe. Only person in the group to fail the test and he hasn’t grown a bit since we first met him. If anything, he’s regressed. After everything they’ve been thru, the idea of him turning on Nagumo and listening to the darkness in his heart, accusing Shizuku of being brainwashed, etc. embarrassing. It’s funny because this behavior is EXACTLY why he don’t have a girl 😂 no one wants to be with an insecure loser who doesn’t value girls’ autonomy. You think after everything they’ve been thru that Hajime is just manipulating the girls? Stupid. Good to see him get his ass beat by Hajime So proud of Shizuku for confessing and kissing Hajime right in front of the other girls. That takes a lot of confidence and shows she’s a totally different person now. If only Kouki could say the same. |

| It's no surprise to anyone that Kouki did that. This episode gave me a mixture of embarrassment at Kouki's words and actions and satisfaction at the beating Hajime gave him. Kouki is the epitome of idiocy. The guy thinks that just because he's the hero, Nagumo doesn't deserve anything he gets, even though he knows Nagumo barely survived the maze; and that his mission to return to his world isn't for him to boast about unlike Kouki. However, Kouki is jealous and thinks he could defeat him. He even had the audacity to fantasize about Hajime's women. It was so satisfying to watch him get destroyed. No wonder he was the only one who failed the test: he deserved it. If it wasn't for his teammates, Hajime would have killed him; it's a shame, I hate Kouki. At least Shizuku decided to follow her feelings and be with Hajime (another blow for Kouki, haha, what a pathetic guy). Now, Yue seems to have a stronger rival than Kaori 😅. |

| Nobody should be surprised at how this went down. Kouki was obviously the most weak-minded of everyone there long before season 3 even started. Only thing that disappointed me is that Nagumo was right. Killing him would have been way more irritating than letting him live...that is, unless he just cut loose the extras. Yue and Shea are all that matter. |
| Kouki being incompetent as usual. He always thinks he's always owed something. I was laughing so hard with his BS tbh. "If you werent born I would have everything". He was just asking for a beatdown and it was totally worth it. But that aside. my girl Shizuku finally opens up to Hajime. And that alone was kinda good enough. |
| Kouki, after realizing that even Shizuko has fallen in love with Hajime, has completely lost his mind and has finally thrown away the mask of false courtesy and righteousness, seeing Hajime monopolize all the girls and be the true hero has devastated him inside. Over time it was clear that he was increasingly envious and impatient, the failed test against his dark double was nothing more than the final step of what had been burning inside him for some time. Basically it's the story of a boy who in his old world was considered an alpha and one of the top students in the school who finds himself being a beta cuck despite even in the new world having on paper the very high status of a Hero and all because of Hajime a former beta guy who has become so overpowered and chad that he overshadows all the other male characters. It was clear that Kouki's pride couldn't tolerate it any longer. XD |

| some people don't know that this final labyrinth is TWO VOLUMES LONG meaning, it should've been as long as the whole 2nd season. dragging? if anything else, they rushed this y'all still on the mindset of how S1 showed it to you when this was what Arifureta LN is doing good, character development. S1 is one of the most garbage things I've ever seen and an insult to the LN after reading volumes 1-4 |

| Kouki reminds exactly of many people I know in real life: oblivious to his mistakes (and any possible impact of those on others), incapable of accepting when someone gives him a reality check about his mistakes and wrong beliefs, ignoring others trying to set them straight, and even willing to destroy other people he projects his mistakes on. Still, seems a bit stupid he was the only one who couldn't pass the trial. Very unrepresentative of the population of watchers. I definitely wouldn't pass the trial despite being aware of most of my faults. Without Nagumo intervention, I doubt the sword girl would have passed the trial either. How Shea and the vampire girl passed the trial seems a bit weird too. Shizuku's passing was borderline in my opinion. Ryutaro... we know nothing about his trial. I haven't liked this arc. It seems most of Nagumo's group got a free pass for no reason, and to balance that out Kouki became the punching bag. Not that he doesn't deserve his outcome. I said early he fully deserves not to pass the trial, but he isn't the only one who should've had this outcome. |
